We’re looking for a Part-Time Employment Paralegal to join Snap’s Employment Legal Team! Working from our offices in Santa Monica, you will play a key role in partnering with and advising the People, Litigation, and other cross-functional teams on cutting edge legal issues globally. You will assist in drafting policies and training, managing employment litigation, discovery, and document databases, conducting interviews, and interacting with outside counsel.
What you’ll do:
Help draft employment policies, process documents, and trainings
Provide support managing ongoing advice and counsel matters globally
Draft severance agreements
Help in-house counsel collect relevant information from business teams for declarations, briefs explaining the company’s background and products, and other documents
Provide litigation support, including matter management, for employment cases
Help establish and implement best practices for employment legal and cross-functional teams
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Experience working as a paralegal for a fast-growth company in the technology space
Familiarity with writing policy; knowledge of HR terminology and principles
Outstanding analytical, communication, organizational, and time management skills
Detail-oriented, business-friendly team player, with an ability to accommodate tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to handle stressful situations and ability to maintain calm and professional regardless of circumstance
Strong ability to handle multiple internal clients with numerous and varying needs
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
Be willing and excited to wear many hats across many teams to contribute to the business in any way possible
Minimum Qualifications:
B.A. or equivalent years of experience
5+ years paralegal experience, with a portion of it working with the employment legal team in-house
Preferred Qualifications:
J.D. degree
