The CSG Contracts Lead, West will be responsible for preparing, negotiating, administering and closing out standard and non-standard contracts. Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Examines labor and ODC estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness. Supports the preparation and submission of cost proposals, including coordinating and reviewing labor and ODC estimates, proposal terms, and other documents, as required. Provides inputs, as needed, on any progress reports, or other reports. Advises management of contractual rights and obligations. Compiles and analyzes contractual requirements and develops and provides recommendations to internal and external customers, as required.
This position will be located in El Segundo, CA.
Key Functions
FAR or other Agency procurement regulation analysis, evaluation of impact to contract terms and Aerospace functional area responsibilities.
Must have the ability to develop and maintain positive and proactive relationships with both internal and external customers.
Ability to draft negotiation position recommendations.
Provide strong administrative, problem solving and interpersonal skills relevant to dealing with complex contractual and business issues in a changing environment.
Negotiates, prepares, reviews and revises contracts in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Provides information and analyzes requirements. Ensures all documents are error-free and accurate.
Develops and implements processes and procedures and provides guidance for enhancing contracts function.
Develop documents and content required for internal CSG Contracts website.
Provides information regarding contract procedures, terms and requirements to both internal and external customers.
Tracks and monitors contract changes, deliverables, and correspondence.
Plans, develops, prepares, and presents proposals, contracts, and grants.
Administers contract and/or grant performance by analyzing and interpreting performance requirements, special provisions, modifications and terms and conditions.
May assign and review the work of others.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree plus 10 or more years of contracts experience.
Experience in government contract management.
Thorough understanding of FAR, and other government laws and regulations.
Research and analysis skills, with the ability to draft topic papers on short deadlines. Must work well in a team environment.
Must possess strong organizational skills.
Effective interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts and work with other internal and external organizations.
Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt to changing organizational needs
Ability to work under minimal supervision, to self-initiate activities, and to work within timelines
Strong written and oral communication skills
Experience in Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Must be detail oriented; ability to prioritize tasks and projects; ability to handle multiple priorities and projects at one time
Preferred
Experience working directly with Federal Civil Agencies (e.g. NASA, DOC, DHS, DOT) is a plus.
