Millennium's Leader of IT Enterprise Applications will define and execute the vision, strategy, and architecture that unifies our existing and future enterprise systems into a single, secure IT framework. Partnering cross-functional leaders, and business stakeholders, you will drive the digital transformation required to meet our growth objectives, enable seamless system integration, and support the delivery of high-performance small-satellite programs. The role is responsible for establishing service-delivery models, SLAs, and compliance controls for all internal application users. You will lead a high-performing team that delivers solutions, designs robust processes, and ensures that our enterprise applications are reliable, cost-effective, and aligned with Millennium's core values of Innovation, Excellence, Collaboration, Integrity, Agility, and Trust. This position will sit onsite at our office in El Segundo, CA.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Enterprise Architecture - Design and maintain an enterprise-wide applications architecture that integrates home-grown and third-party systems, delivering greater efficiency, productivity, reporting, and cross-functional communication
  • Roadmap Development - Create, refine, and own the IT Enterprise Applications roadmap; define project objectives, timelines, prioritization, and implementation plans in collaboration with business partners
  • Vendor Management - Lead RFP/RFI processes, support contract negotiations, oversee vendor performance, and monitor SLA compliance
  • Build-vs-Buy Governance - Serve as the internal SME for enterprise software, guiding the build-vs-buy decision process and vetting third-party solutions to ensure they meet business needs
  • Policy & SOP Creation - Develop and maintain SOPs, policies, and procedures for all enterprise systems to guarantee robust operations, consistent training, and regulatory compliance
  • Team Leadership - Recruit, develop, and inspire a world-class Enterprise Applications organization; foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Process Standardization - Lead initiatives to harmonize business processes across the enterprise using best-practice methodologies and automation
  • Software Development Practices - Implement modern development, integration, and deployment practices (CI/CD, DevSecOps) to improve reliability and speed of delivery
  • Cost-Effective Delivery - Ensure solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards
  • Technology Watch - Stay current on emerging technologies and service-management trends; recommend and champion adoption of relevant innovations
  • Cybersecurity & Compliance - Guarantee that all digital architectures satisfy Millennium's cybersecurity requirements and any applicable regulatory constraints

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI (or equivalent) security clearance
  • 10+ years of experience planning, leading, deploying, operating enterprise-wide programs, service delivery, and IT Enterprise Application initiatives
  • 5+ years of senior-manager level experience building and managing high-performing application teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Deep expertise in enterprise application operations across multiple domains (e.g., ERP, HRIS/ATS, MES, LMS, Supply-Chain Planning, SharePoint, reporting/visualization, commercial systems)
  • Proven ability to translate business priorities into a cohesive application roadmap and to communicate that vision to senior leadership
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills; adept at change-management leadership
  • Demonstrated track record of driving digital-transformation initiatives that deliver measurable business value
  • Hands-on experience leading end-to-end implementation of enterprise systems such as Teamcenter, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), or comparable PLM/ERP platforms
  • Experience designing and operating applications in both open and regulated/secure environments, with an understanding of how to architect solutions across those boundaries

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: Level L: $172,550 - $253,750
Millennium is DDTC-registered, ITAR-compliant Company. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Applicants MUST be U.S. citizens and eligible for a security clearance.
