The Task At Hand:

The IT Developer Analyst will work at the intersection of application development, data engineering, and IT governance, helping the IT team at Once Upon a Farm deliver reliable software, streamlined automations, and well-documented processes.

 

In This Role, You Will:

Retool Application Development & Support

  • Design, build, and maintain internal Retool applications to support business workflows and operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing Retool apps, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional application features.
  • Develop and support additional automations and integrations that complement the Retool ecosystem.

Requirements Gathering, Testing & Documentation

  • Lead requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders to define scope, objectives, and acceptance criteria.
  • Perform SOX-compliant testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new and updated systems.
  • Create and maintain thorough technical and user-facing documentation, including process flows, specifications, and test plans.
  • Ensure change management procedures are followed, and audit trails are properly maintained.

Microsoft Fabric & Data Engineering

  • Support data engineering functions within Microsoft Fabric, including pipeline development, monitoring, and optimization.
  • Assist with data integrations connecting Fabric to internal and third-party systems.
  • Help build and maintain analytics solutions, dashboards, and reporting workflows.
  • Collaborate with data and business teams to ensure data quality, governance, and accessibility.

AI Tooling & General DevOps Support

  • Leverage AI tools including Claude and ChatGPT to accelerate development, automate tasks, and improve workflows.
  • Provide day-to-day support to the Manager of DevOps across infrastructure, tooling, and project delivery.
  • Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and cross-functional project teams as needed.

 

 

In This Role, You’ll Bring With You:

  • 3+ years of experience in an IT developer, analyst, or similar technical role.
  • Demonstrated experience with web or application development; Retool experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience conducting UAT or other testing; SOX experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with requirements gathering and writing technical documentation.
  • High level of attention to detail with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or a similar programming language.
  • Moderate to advanced SQL experience.
  • Experience working in a source-controlled environment; Azure DevOps and CI/CD experience strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouses, pipelines, and notebooks.
  • Industry experience in CPG, Retail, or Manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude (Anthropic) and ChatGPT, with practical experience integrating them into workflows.
  • Experience with REST APIs and building or consuming third-party integrations.
  • Experience with Power Automate or other RPA tools.
  • Background in a DevOps or IT support function.
  • Up to 10% travel required: Although this role is a remote work-from-home position, we “Farmers” do meet as a company and/or as a department a few times a year. Anticipate possible travel up to a few times each quarter

Compensation:

  • Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt
  • The anticipated salary range for this position is $80,000.00 – $100,000.00.  The actual salary offer will carefully consider a few factors, including skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses, stipends, and role-specific perks.
