Software Engineer, Snap Up Apprentice

We’re looking for Apprentices to join a new Engineering program at Snap Inc. called Snap Up. Snap Up is a 9 month engineering rotational program created by Snap to provide career development opportunities to new graduates with limited or no technical software engineering work experience. Snap Up is designed to provide Apprentices with on-the-job training and close mentorship opportunities that maximize opportunity to level up into engineering professional roles. The program will be based out of our headquarters in Los Angeles, California.
What you’ll do:
Rotate within 3 of our Core Engineering groups every 3 months
Gain exposure to various technical challenges to build upon existing knowledge
Learn how to conduct code reviews and ensure exceptional code quality
Learn how to build robust, lasting, and scalable products
Learn how to iterate quickly without compromising quality
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Good CS fundamentals
Good problem solving skills
Ability to quickly analyze and contextualize information
Minimum Qualifications:
New Grad with a BS/BA, MS, or PhD in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent experience (Grad Date between Dec. 2020 & August 2021)
Limited to no relevant internship experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Possess organizational skills and a healthy respect for deadlines
Self-starter and “figure it out” attitude
A high level of professional integrity and confidentiality
Interest in gaining exposure to various aspects of Software Engineering
A passion for Snapchat and creativity!
