The Role

Job Summary & Responsibilities:

The SDET Intern will help building test automation for MotorTrend On Demand Web and/or Mobile App. Essential duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Understand the application design, UI, flow, logic, and processes.
• Create test automation scripts of user stories and acceptance criteria for mobile and connected devices.
• Contribute to test automation framework by leveraging existing scenarios and adding value where needed.

Supervisory Responsibility:

• This position will not include supervising one or more employees where applicable.

Education/Experience:

• BA/BS in a Computer Science or related technical field

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Experience with developing mobile app (iOS, Android)
• Knowledge of testing frameworks and tools used for mobile application development, such as Selenium, Appium, XCUI, Espresso etc.
• Proficient with XCode and/or Android Studio
• Knowledge of CI/CD systems and methodology
• Working understanding of source code management
• Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements:

• The ability to sit for prolonged period of time and view computer screen.

• Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Mac, Atlassian Suite, Slack

Work Environment:

• Work is performed in an office environment that is well lit and ventilated.
