Job Summary:
Are you looking for a unique opportunity to grow a new brand and make meaningful change from day one? Ruggable is launching an exciting new business and is looking for an incredible Social Media Intern to build our organic social accounts. Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Social Media Intern will support content creation and community management to build brand awareness, grow our social following, and drive engagement from our audiences. The ideal candidate should be an avid social media user who is on top of trends across platforms, and is deeply familiar with Instagram and Facebook (Pinterest and TikTok are a plus!).
What You’ll Do:
- Work alongside the Marketing Director to execute social strategies, including creating content for social posts
- Grow Instagram and Facebook channels through compelling copy and engaging content
- Brainstorm creative ideas and concepts for organic social initiatives
- Engage with followers and potential customers both via direct messages and publicly
- Evaluate success of initiatives through measuring social performance
- Collaborate with the Marketing team, attend relevant meetings, and understand how organic social fits into broader marketing strategy and goals
What You’ll Need to Have:
- Majoring in business, marketing, journalism, advertising, public relations, or experience in a communications or marketing-related field
- Some social media management experience
- Understanding of social media analytics
- Entry-level understanding of marketing strategy
- An interest in E-commerce and/or DTC home goods brands, and an excitement for startups and building from the ground up
- Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills
- Thoughtful and self-reflective, with high motivation to learn
- Team-player, hard-working, organized, and goal-oriented
