Help us shape the future of mass-market marijuana!

If social media is your passion, if you are really good at influencing others, if your enthusiasm is contagious, and if you want to be part of an insanely driven entrepreneurial and creative team, then you’ll feel right at home at Cannacopia.       

This is the real deal; our internships aren’t coffee getting or paper filing.  You’ll have the freedom to create and execute decisive campaigns and contribute to our overall marketing and business strategies.  This internship will give you hands-on experience your friends will be jealous, trust.  Prove yourself and you’ll be offered a full time position upon graduation. 

Plus we’ll pay you a good hourly rate, reimburse your parking, and you might be eligible to receive college credit.  Your work schedule will be flexible to complement your school schedule.  We are located in Santa Monica, CA -- one block from the ocean, at the intersection of SoCal’s technology and cannabis industries.  

There are over 7500 available strains of marijuana…each providing you a different effect. Our Cannacopia mobile app, available free from iTunes and Google App Stores, is the only platform that enables you to discover which marijuana strains help you feel the way you want, based on your desired mood and effects.  

Cannacopia solves the buyer’s confusion of what strains of cannabis to purchase, where to purchase, how much to spend, and where to find the best value.  Users can rate, review, and recommend.

Responsibilities:

• Managing our Instagram & Facebook.

• Plan and create engaging content that our audience will enjoy.

• Create & manage a social media content calendar.    

• Stories are a great way to connect with our users. You’ll have to be comfortable creating stories and thinking outside the box.

• DM and reach out to influencers and bloggers.  Maintain and manage relationships with them.

• Monitor and report on social media growth using tools like Buffer. (We will teach you)

• Keep track of the competition and what is going on in the industry.

Requirements:

• Master in all things social media.

• Must be active personally on social media. And no don’t just start posting now.

• Creative thinker to be able to produce engaging content.

• Outstanding writing skills with the ability to pen clever, engaging, clean copy in a strong voice.

• Huge plus, not necessary if you can edit photos or videos in programs like Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere.

• Comfortable evangelizing in front of a camera and as well as working behind the scenes.

• Must be able to commute to and from Santa Monica

• Must have your own laptop.
