Job Summary: 

The Mechanical Engineering Intern - Robotics works closely with the senior level engineers to support the design, development, testing and mass production of robotic fulfillment hardware that improves DC density and throughput to improve customer experience and company ROI.

Job Expectations: 

  • Convert and update Cad files and file numbers

  • Support backlog of drawings requiring updates in SolidWorks

  • Perform mechanical systems design, engineering calculations and related engineering analysis

  • Perform prototyping, assembly, technical documentation, tool design and fixture design

  • Perform hands-on assembly, troubleshooting, fabrication

  • Determine and develops creative approaches or solutions to complex problems

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

   Required:

  • Strong technical background in Mechanical Engineering

  • Self-motivated to drive tasks to completion

  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering design tools such as SolidWorks

  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

  • Advanced computer proficiency using Google Office Suite

  • Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices

Equipment Knowledge: 

  • Experience with Solidworks

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Experience with Google Business Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms) preferred

Experience Requirements:

Prior internship experience in Mechanical Engineering role a plus

Education Requirements: 

Pursuant of a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
