TeleSign is looking for a Legal Intern who is eager to gain hands-on experience providing support and advice to the Legal team regarding domestic and international business clients in the context of commercial contracts, regulatory issues and business affairs. You will be involved in the research and analysis of a range of legal issues including data privacy, fraud prevention, and patent prosecution. You will also participate in domestic and international technology sales negotiations and projects designed to create efficiencies for the Legal team that will impact the entire organization.
This role reports to the Legal Counsel. We will be welcoming interns during the Summer 2022 term.
What you’ll do:
- Support technology sales contract negotiations
- Perform due diligence on sales and procurement contracts
- Review, draft, and train on contract templates
- Advise on a range of regulatory compliance matters
- Present a summer research project to member(s) of C-suite
- Assist in the management of the Legal team’s contract database
- Analyze GDPR and CCPA regulations
Qualifications
- Current law student in good standing at ABA approved law school
- Team player eager to roll up their sleeves, learn, and take responsibility
- Excellent communication and relationship development skills
- Highly motivated to deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and across functional teams
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Excellent English (written and verbal)
- Passion for technology, consumer protection, and intellectual property
