The Policy team is looking for an intern to join the team to assist with permitting and market research. The applicant must be detail-oriented and adept at reading the fine print in municipal code. The intern must have a professional demeanor and - as this is a remote position - be a good self-starter who can work efficiently with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude who approaches their tasks with diligence and is interested in working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
This is a remote, paid Internship opportunity. Candidates are expected to work 15-20 hours a week. We are flexible with our candidates based on their availability with school and understand if a week may be missed for finals, etc; the start date is also flexible. What you will do...
- Assist in permitting new properties and renewing existing ones. Intern will collect needed documents and fill out required permit forms for jurisdictions across the country.
- Research city/county municipal code for short-term rental regulation and write up research.
- Help write up research into documents to assist teams across AvantStay.
- Assist on special compliance projects as needed.
