Finance Internship - 2020
We’re looking for interns to join our Finance & Accounting Intern Program (FIP). As a member of the FIP, you’ll participate in a 10 week program in Los Angeles designed to provide current students with a cross-functional, developmental experience within the Finance and Accounting functions at Snap Inc. FIP Interns will participate in projects as well as formal training and other networking designed to educate them on Snap’s business and the role Finance plays within our company.
Selected applicants will set goals for their internship that align with company strategy and allow for accelerated development, growth, and learning. Upon successful completion of the program, participants may be eligible for full-time positions within Snap Finance.
What you’ll do:
Own a project or workstream within Finance organization, specific to one of the following teams: Accounting, Business Partner Finance (FP&A), Internal Audit, Investor Relations, Tax, or Treasury
Strengthen your Accounting and Financial skills through day to day operational tasks as well as participating in key projects
Build communication, leadership, presentation, writing, and other professional and management skills
Be provided ongoing development, leadership insights, and direction to help make your program even more valuable
Minimum qualifications:
Current candidates working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Tax, Economics, or similar field
Strong academic record, with a minimum 3.5 GPA
Preferred qualifications:
Excel proficiency
Strong accounting/finance knowledge
Ability to work across and up and down a dynamic organization
Prior experience working in a business environment
Ability to work under pressure, often in a deadline driven environment, and ability to perform several tasks concurrently
Must possess excellent critical thinking, problem solving skills and superior attention to detail
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
Accounting role - pursuing a Master’s in Accountancy and planning to sit for CPA
Tax role - pursuing a Master’s in Tax
