Data Analytics Intern (Marketing) - Summer 2020
FabFitFun is looking for a Data Analytics Intern to join our data-driven culture to help us make informed business decisions this Summer 2020! In this role, you will leverage data analysis, visualization, and communication skills to deliver targeted reporting and actionable insights to support the Marketing Department. Our ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, incredibly curious, and technically capable with a desire to discover and deliver data-driven business insights. We are looking for Senior level students pursuing a BS, MS, or PHD in Business Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, or Economics, that will be graduating in 2021.

What You’ll Do:
- Perform analyses and build reports using Looker/Tableau and other reporting tools that will drive business outcomes to support our dynamic Marketing Department
- Conduct ad-hoc analytics requests using the internal data warehouse in Redshift, Microsoft Excel, and Looker
- Define reporting requirements in partnership with various teams and translate that into technical specifications to build a comprehensive analytics solution
- Prep data for analytics using SQL, Python, and/or R
- Partner cross-functionally with our data engineering and technical teams to ensure that our data is accurate in our databases for reporting and analysis
- Act as a trusted advisor and provide solid recommendations to business partners based on data insights
- Work with the data team on larger analytics projects from start to finish
- Build out data documentation
What You’ll Bring:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PHD degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, or another quantitative field
- 2+ years of internship or work experience in a related analytical role
- Ability to leverage advanced SQL queries to surface data from source systems and build reports
- Working knowledge of data visualization using Tableau/Looker or any visualization tools
- Experience working with web analytics, marketing, and e-commerce data
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and charting
- Experience working with Python, R and similar tools for data analysis a strong plus
