We’re looking for a Development Intern (Innovation Focus) to join Snap Inc! In this role the successful candidate will gain research and creative development experience as well as valuable knowledge about how to work professionally and cross-functionally inside a high profile tech company. You’ll collaborate remotely with our team with a focus on the intersection between technology and entertainment, supporting work that will help define the future of mobile storytelling.

• What you’ll do:

  • Assist with coordination, development and production for storytelling innovation projects

  • Research and compile info about companies / creators / technologies in the interactive entertainment space

  • Generate a wide range of narrative and format ideas based on product functionality and potential product innovations

  • Support team in cross-functional collaboration: schedule meetings, take meeting notes, manage project calendars, support creative development and production

  • Maintain research trackers and development grids

  • Build creative internal pitch decks for presentations

• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Creative thinker able to articulate and document complex narrative and technical ideas

  • Fluent with new technologies like AR, social gaming platforms, Social Media platforms, as well as other forms of interactive storytelling.

  • Basic understanding of digital asset production workflows

  • Proficient with Google Suite (Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Sheets)

  • Proficient with Mac OS and iOS

  • General knowledge of Adobe creative suite (Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects)

  • Effective interpersonal and team collaboration skills

  • Ability to effectively interact with colleagues and management

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Extremely organized with excellent time management skills

    
    

• Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Currently enrolled in a BS/BA program that focuses on interactive media production, creative producing or another creative field at the intersection between entertainment and technology

  • Expected graduation between December 2021 and August 2023

• Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience interning or working in television, interactive entertainment and/or digital production

  • Passionate and informed about what’s next in mobile and interactive entertainment. Savvy early adopters wanted!

  • Technology enthusiast eager to focus on research into new forms of storytelling

  • Fluent with Snapchat, and both an avid Snapchatter and consumer of Snap content

  • Previous research experience

  • Previous work or intern experience with a production, gaming or 3D animation company, interactive agency or other relevant creative technology-driven entertainment business.
