Business Development & Strategy MBA Intern

Responsibilities

Fandango seeks an experienced and talented MBA Intern for our strategy and business development group.  The ideal candidate will have a passion for business strategy at the intersections of technology, entertainment and commerce.  Candidate should possess business creativity, exceptional analytical skills and ability to synthesize learnings into actionable insights.  The MBA Intern will join this small but incredibly influential group at Fandango.
Responsibilities:

  • Explore, identify and evaluate strategic growth opportunities with a focus on business / financial modeling and business case development of new market, product, content, and technology opportunities across Fandango’s portfolio of businesses
  • Stay on top of consumer, technology, and market trends and provide insights on opportunities and implications; frequently and systematically track competitors
  • Gather market diligence and support team with robust market and financial analysis
  • Synthesize data and analysis into actionable recommendations with measurable KPIs
  • Create and present recommendations via effective and persuasive presentations

Qualifications/Requirements

• Enrolled in a full-time, top-tier MBA program
• Experience in and knowledge of online and mobile business models, internet/consumer technology, and media/entertainment
• Strong problem solving and analytical experiences, including market and financial modeling
• Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented and highly organized and ability to prioritize workload
• Self-driven, comfortable with a fast-paced, always-on, highly ambiguous environment
• Must excel w/ Excel and Power Point
• Able to articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
• Works effectively both independently and as a member of a cross functional team

Desired Characteristics

• In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree in progress
• Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits) (rising sophomore, junior, or senior)
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. without a visa or sponsorship
• Must be able to work on-site in Beverly Hills, CA
• Must be available during our program: June 1 – August 10, Monday – Friday, about 9am-6pm, approximately 40 hours/week, for 10 weeks
• Internship positions are paid and do not require school credit
• Recent graduates will not be eligible
