Our Venture Talent Team is the force that drives the hiring of talent for corporate partners who own the next horizon of innovation.
This Senior Recruiter will be responsible for supporting hiring for the start-ups spun up in collaboration with our corporate partners. In this critical role at our headquarters in Manhattan Beach, they will manage the entire candidate process from pipeline generation to offer accept, partnering closely with leaders across the organization on hiring, talent mapping, and succession planning.
In this role you will:
- Own and deliver on the full-cycle recruitment, selection and hiring process for talent, with a focus on Director-level to C-Suite roles, for ventures across a diverse range of industries and markets
- Work closely with venture hiring manager(s) to design and implement hiring strategies - including research strategy, compensation analysis, sourcing, assessment, and closing of highly qualified candidates
- Serve as an advocate to both clients and candidates throughout the hiring process; establishing regular touch points and providing diligent follow through resulting in best in class client and candidate experience
- Have experience leading and mentoring other recruiters, with a focus on performance excellence and individual development
- Perform related recruiting and sourcing functions
- Leverage data to make informed decisions and hiring recommendations at all levels
- Partner effectively with recruiting team peers and cross-functional partners (sourcing, compensation, HR, systems and operations teams)
- Build and maintain networks of potential candidates though proactive market research and on-going relationship management
- Participate in any other tasks to support the department and company as required
You should have:
- 7+ years of recruiting experience, inclusive of at least 2+ years in executive recruiting or talent strategy consulting
- Experience in and/or understanding of commercial, fee-for-service retained search
- BA/BS degree, or equivalent experience
- Digital/technology or start-up experience, with the ability to conduct searches of all levels with tact and tenacity
- The ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and interact with all levels of management
- An eye for detail and strong intuition for competency based assessment while screening candidates
- The ability to partner with and influence business leaders and hiring as a talent advisor
- The ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and interact with all levels of management
- Extensive research experience, including creative approaches to data gathering and analysis and market mapping
- Demonstrated ability in screening and identifying strengths and areas of development for candidates across business, product and engineering functions
- A results-oriented mindset without a fear of stretch goals
- The attitude of a team player - be highly collaborative, partnering with our Recruiting Strategy & Operations team to provide - and constantly improve upon - a positive and seamless client and candidate experience
- Finesse in client interaction, including working with Hiring Managers and Client partners, taking new requirements, reviewing candidate profiles and updating candidate pipeline progress
- Experience networking, sourcing, and hiring diverse talent
- A customer-focused attitude with the ability to provide a high-touch experience to both candidates and hiring managers
- An analytical mindset who understands the importance of tracking metrics
- Exceptional organization abilities, a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to prioritize various projects and targets
