Summary

Pluto TV is searching for a Senior HR Generalist to join our growing People team. The Senior HR Generalist works closely with the Head of People and plays a critical role in the day-to-day people operations as well the employee lifecycle. From cultivating and fostering a stellar onboarding program, to handling HR compliance, and a lot of neat things in between, you will help ensure an engaging and rewarding employee experience.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset that is seeking an opportunity to broaden their skills in several areas of HR, including people operations, immigration, and employee engagement. Responsibilities Include

This is a critical role with a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Partner closely with Head of People across many verticals with employee experience always top of mind
• Act as first point of contact for general HR-related employee questions
• Work closely with other members of the People team to facilitate all on-boarding activities, including pre-hire employee communication, background checks, data entry into systems, and first day orientation
• Taking ownership of employee data integrity, including necessary data entry, partnering with Viacom’s HRIS and Benefits teams on projects, updates and information requests
• Partner closely with outside attorney to handle all immigration cases in a timely manner
• Coordinate and hold employee exits, sharing trends and action plans with Head of People to proactively prevent regrettable attrition
• Ensure Pluto TV remains compliant with all required notices and state / federal submissions
• Help plan and execute employee events that encourage team building and fun
• Prepare ad hoc reports
• Other duties as assigned

Qualities / Experience We're Seeking

We believe the right individual will have the following skills and experience in order to be successful in this role:

• 5+ years HR experience, ideally in a start-up and / or Entertainment environment(s)
• Proven ability to successfully onboard new hires and support employees throughout the employee lifecycle
• Immigration experience is a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
• Solid organizational skills with the ability to meet multiple project deadlines with a focus on detail
• Successfully interacts with professionals at all levels
• Capable of maintaining confidential information and matters with discretion
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment where agility is required
• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent + PHR Preferred
