Team Overview


We're looking for a People Operations Specialist to join our People Operations team at Dave, reporting to the Manager, People Operations. The People Operations team functions as the face of onboarding and is the hub for every day employment needs. The ideal person for this role has a wide variety of experience in HR/People Operations, is familiar with HR systems, and is detail oriented.

What You'll Do

  • Enables a world class employee experience by acting as the first line of contact and support throughout the entire new hire onboarding workflow including new hire paperwork, communication, I-9 verification etc 
  • Identifies opportunities to optimize and implement improvements leading to best practice people operations processes for Dave
  • Leads and executes all activities, and serves as the point of contact across the employee life cycle including onboarding, benefit administration, policies, payroll, HRIS, employee trainings, and terminations
  • Partners with the Manager, People Operations with Benefits Administration, including drafting all employee communications, administering open enrollment, and data management
  • Partners with the Manager, People Operations in processing bi-weekly payroll in an accurate and timely manner
  • Tackle HRIS data entry and management with enthusiasm, timeliness, and strict attention to detail, such as updating employee info, manager and organization hierarchy, compensation, auditing data, and reports
  • Maintain records of personnel-related data in the database and ensure all employment requirements are met
  • Manage all employment verification requests
  • Support with talent management and learning & development projects, as needed
  • Ensure confidentiality and professionalism is maintained when dealing with sensitive and confidential information

What You'll Need

  • You have 1-3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Prior experience in HR/People Ops is preferred
  • BS/BA degree
  • Meticulously organized and detail oriented
  • A positive attitude and a passion to learn anything and everything
  • Friendly team player who has a “no task is too small” attitude
  • A focus on results with a high sense of urgency and time management skills
  • Creative thinker with the desire to create an overall positive experience through all aspects of the employee lifecycle
  • Experience with Workday preferred but not required
