Reporting to the Sr. People Operations Manager, you’ll be an active contributor to core People Ops (HR) and recruiting processes and a partner across the organization. You’ll have a front row seat and the opportunity to support the growth and success of one of LA’s most exciting startups.
Your Primary Responsibilities
- Learn, master and take ownership of key people ops activities including administration of our benefit (enrollments, qualifying life events, payroll changes, communications with our PEO and carriers)
- Maintain accurate HR data and make relevant and timely changes for key employee events including promotions, pay/title/reporting changes, terminations, leaves of absence, etc.
- Assist with the onboarding of our growing team including initiating background checks, completing I-9s and coordinating and/or facilitating portions of new hire orientation
- Support various People Ops programs and cycles such as performance reviews, company meetings, trainings, surveys, etc.
- Support our recruiting efforts - posting jobs, calendaring a high volume of phone/in person interviews, booking candidate travel and ensuring that internal team members and candidates have a great experience
- Accurately complete a diverse set of HR and recruiting documents and follow proper retention guidelines
- Be a team player - step in to support office, HR, recruiting and team needs when necessary
- Experience in a People Ops or Recruiting role in an entrepreneurial, fast paced and changing environment
- Ability to communicate effectively and tailor your messages appropriately regardless of the audience
- Ability to be resilient through high-stakes, tough conversations and competing priorities
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding payroll, benefits, and employee issues.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills: must display patience and helpfulness at all times – front line contact for employee questions.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills: accuracy is essential.
- Experience with Microsoft and GSuite.
- Experience with HRIS and ATS tools, a plus.
