People Engagement Manager – Inclusion & Belonging

As part of a small yet awesome team, contribute to a range of engagement projects to build a high performing organization while reinforcing our values and culture. Reports to Sr. Director, People Engagement & Communications.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop, implement, and assess programs to continuously improve inclusion and belonging among our global employees through our focus areas of Education, Celebration, Donation, Diversifying our Talent and Listening to One Another.

  • Oversee our annual Inclusion & Belonging Calendar of Events and take the lead in coordinating related action plans, working with internal or external partners.

  • Partner closely with Learning & Development team, HR Business Partners, Marketing, and other groups to build inclusion and belonging proficiency across The Trade Desk.

  • Work with the Talent Acquisition team to advise and contribute to programs to attract, retain and promote a diverse workforce for the organization. Opportunities may include conferences, industry hiring events, and external partnerships.)

  • Serve as point person for our ongoing work with the American Advertising Federation’s Mosaic Center for Multiculturalism, helping college students learn about the many possibilities offered by careers in digital advertising.

  • As part of the team, evaluate employee requests for our corporate giving program, as well as other corporate donations.

  • Partner with HR Operations to develop and monitor analytics to measure our progress on diversifying our talent.

  • Working with our Sr. Director, Communications & Engagement to shape internal communications and the development of employee-facing content.

  • Review and consider feedback from our annual employee survey, offering suggestions for action planning and goal-setting.

  • Extend our listening culture, creating opportunities for dialogue and feedback.

Who You Are:

  • A highly creative and independent thinker, with proven experience putting global Inclusion & Belonging initiatives into action.

  • BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline and/or equivalent work experience required.

  • Minimum of 8 years human resources experience required. Enterprise start-up, technology-oriented environments or technical organizations strongly preferred. 

  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities, produce excellent work results, and follow through on commitments.

How would you describe the company’s work-life balance?

It’s not uncommon in our Ventura office for several engineers to go surfing on their lunch break or when the waves are just right. For those of us who can’t seem to swim, we tend to play basketball during lunch. Others like to take hikes behind the office along the hillside, work out or even run along the beach.

How do you collaborate with other teams in the company?

We work in pods of 3-4 per client. Each pod has a trader, account executive, and account manager. Typically, account managers handle the daily communication with the client, provide platform training, support traders in optimizing/troubleshooting campaigns, and support sales. The three roles are indispensable to each client .

What’s the vibe like in the office?

People come to the office to get their work done, but also want to enjoy their time in the office as well. We all take turns DJ’ing the Bluetooth speaker in the office and taking music requests from others. There’s constant collaboration and communication going on between all teams in the office.
