Payroll & Benefits Associate (Remote)
Summary
Grindr is growing so we are in search of a Payroll and Benefits Associate who is detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about organization. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the mobile app industry, thrive in an environment of continuous change and want to help move the needle on sustaining a great culture. You’ll have experience supporting a People & Talent team and have a knack for balancing culture and compliance. This Payroll & Benefits Associate reports to the Manager of People.
Areas of responsibility include: Providing payroll, benefits, and administrative support to the People and Talent team; administering ADP, Fidelity, & the Benefits platforms to ensure data is up to date and accurate.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a seamless new hire onboarding experience by entering all relevant information into Payroll and Benefits systems
- Manage employee information (direct deposits, tax withholdings, pay rates, etc.) in applicable systems to ensure data integrity
- Conduct payroll tracking and reporting and run quarterly audits
- Communicate across HR and Finance departments to confirm various payroll information
- Be an organizational enthusiast! Maintain confidential employee, employee benefits, and other HR files. Consult with legal counsel, as appropriate, on personnel matters
- Have a thirst for researching multi state payroll laws and consult with management to to ensure efficiency and consistency
- Collaborate with Finance to process semi-monthly payrolls and post-payroll reporting to benefits platforms
- Special and ad-hoc reporting and project support as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 2 year of experience in handling personnel related matters and administration
- Knowledge of ADP and payroll compliance
- Proficient with Apple/Mac and Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Positive attitude and the ability to be proactive, resourceful, and flexible
- Excellent discretion, demonstrating sound judgment in dealing with confidential dialogues and information
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills
- Thrives in a start-up/entrepreneurial environment and is adaptable to change
- Ability to establish trusted relationships with all levels of the organization, including maintaining confidentiality of employee information
