The Learning & Organization Development (LOD) coordinator is an entry level position on our team responsible for supporting the design and delivery of training opportunities throughout Universal Music Group. The Coordinator will report to the Sr. Director, Learning & Organization Development while working closely with the entire LOD team.

Job Functions:

  • Provide administrative support, coordination and communication of LOD programs; includes logistics for calendar scheduling, room booking, marketing and training materials.
  • Support with the launch and maintenance of an LOD page on our company intranet, including content creation and organization.
  • Assist in creating, updating, and/or proofreading instructional materials with guidance from LOD team or Instructional Designers.
  • Provide daily management of Learning Management System (LMS) and serve as point of contact for all LMS inquiries.
  • Gather, track, analyze, and provide data for reporting, learning analytics presentations, and ad-hoc requests.
  • Manage procurement processes for all vendors, including vendor registration, purchase order creation, processing invoices, reporting on budget actuals, and all inquiries from vendors or procurement department.
  • Support, participate in, or lead smaller components of projects. Carry out tasks and activities that support project plans and deliverables.
  • Monitors and analyzes the effectiveness of LOD programs, processes, and systems to suggest improvements and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Facilitates New Hire Orientation for employees joining Universal Music Group.
  • Support Sr. Director with scheduling and expense reporting as needed.

Job Requirements:

Skills/Abilities:

Essential:

  • Outstanding organization skills with acute attention to detail and accuracy
  • Exceptional communication skills - written, oral, and presentation/platform skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, manage, and execute multiple deliverables simultaneously
  • A self-motivated problem solver who approaches roadblocks with a "can do" attitude
  • Able to build relationships within team and across departments
  • Excellent research abilities
  • Passionate about developing people and enriching their overall work experience

Desired:

  • Experience working in an HR department within an LOD team.
  • Experience with a Learning Management System.

Other:

  • Ability to travel up to 15% to our offices in the greater Los Angeles area (Woodland Hills, Hollywood, etc.).

Experience:

  • 2+ years' work experience in training, HR, OD or related discipline (relevant internship experience may be considered)
  • Microsoft Office EXPERT, especially in PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Proficient in G-Suite (Google docs, sheets, slides)

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a Human Resources related field such as organization development, industrial/organizational psychology, organization behavior, communications, or leadership development
