THE PURPOSE:

As the Learning & Communication Manager, you will cultivate opportunities for development and dialogue at Virgin Hyperloop One. You will own resources for personal and professional growth, like behavioral assessments, how-to guides, and training facilitation. Partnering closely with our Marketing team, you will shape our internal communications, from job postings to handbooks to announcements and more. As a manager, you will mentor and develop entry-level Talent Ops Specialists to grow our team from within.

ROLE:

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive learning program that supports role-based training, career development, and personal growth
  • Research, develop, and facilitate relevant, interactive, and impactful learning modules
  • Determine when to build vs buy with accountability for external training providers
  • Create and socialize development resources, including behavioral assessments, how-to guides, and Talent Ops intranet site
  • Develop and implement a consistent internal communication plan aligned with company initiatives and values
  • Partner with Marketing to develop our messaging, tone, and voice for internal audience
  • Write, design, and deliver branded internal communications
  • Recruit, mentor, coach, and motivate your team
  • Maintain our learning platforms
  • Other projects as assigned

 THE CANDIDATE:

  • You’re creative and innovative
  • You thrive on bringing order to ambiguity
  • You’ve got a mind for strategy – but you’re also comfortable working on tactical details

 MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s in Communication, Education, or other relevant field or equivalent work experience
  • Proven track record of developing and facilitating impactful training for adult learners
  • Experience creating verbal and visual communications that support company initiatives and style

 PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Startup experience
