Summary:

The ideal HR Coordinator is motivated, results oriented and committed to delivering outstanding customer service every day. This position is primarily based in Downtown Los Angeles, but also supports our Culver City Photo Studio and San Bernardino Photo Studio.

A day in the life…

  • Customer Service: Deliver internal customer service with excellence to make our employee experience as renowned as our customer experience. Provide HR administrative support while ensuring the integrity of confidential and personal information. Serve as the initial point of contact for any employee inquiries or concerns and resolve or direct as appropriate. Provide internal transfer information to recruiters. Respond to unemployment claims.
  • Project Management: Drive/assist with key programs and projects such as promotions, organization change requests, and other HR-related needs. Own the new hire onboarding coordination end to end including facilitating New Hire Orientation and the administration of key processes such as processing credit card applications, employment verification letters and I-9’s.
  • Logistics: Assist logistical and administrative support for department processes and events including: scheduling, material preparation and catering.
  • Reporting: Own and manage the department reports including pulling data from several systems. Provide data audit support, create and maintain distribution lists. Manage Leave of Absence reporting and HR compliance reporting.
  • Meeting Planning: Plan and organize meetings by taking responsibility for assembling the agenda, location and required technology based upon participant needs, and all other meeting logistics.
  • Team Support: Facilitate processes necessary to the effective running of the HR Team including ordering office supplies, assisting in planning events and/or team off sites. Provide backup support for other HR team members as needed.

  • Interest in Human Resources; 1+ years HR experience preferred
  • A positive energy, are a problem solver and thrive on being part of high performing team
  • A strong customer service mindset and ability to proactively identify areas where you can contribute/make things better
  • Ability to effectively build relationships with customers, peers and leadership
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment that often requires you to flex your priorities to meet the needs of business; Ability to multi-task, prioritize work and operate independently
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Knowledge in MS Excel; PowerPoint
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent training and/or experience preferred
  • The ability to professionally and sensitively resolve employee issues while maintaining a high level of confidentiality
