About the Role

Albert is looking for a strategic and experienced HRBP to partner with our Engineering and Product teams as we enter our next phase of growth. As a member of our HRBP team, not only will you provide guidance to your client groups, but you’ll also help define what being an HRBP means at Albert. Reporting into our Director of HR, the HRBP is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full-cycle support. This role is core in executing our people initiatives, providing excellent support to employees and managers, coaching leaders, and driving people programs and process improvement. You’ll encourage your client groups to take on a forward-looking model as we scale over the next few years. This is an opportunity to make a huge impact throughout Albert and grow as a leader in the People space.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain an intimate understanding of the Engineering and Product organizations
  • Work with managers to provide constructive feedback and coaching to employees; assist managers with effective management of their teams and instill a culture of feedback and high performance
  • Coach managers on HR policies and processes, including talent planning, learning and development, and performance management
  • Develop and execute a lifecycle approach to talent management focused on forecasting, staffing, on-boarding, development, performance management, career / succession planning, talent movement and retention, leveraging rigorous workforce analytics and insights
  • Partner with recruitment, with a strong focus on acquiring and retaining top talent and on building pipeline for future needs
  • Assess employee training and development needs based on business strategy in order to help close gaps between current and future skill sets
  • Act as a liaison between employees and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices and regulations
  • Participate in ongoing and/or ad hoc people projects as determined by the needs of the organization

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, psychology or business
  • Minimum of five years experience related to several aspects of HR, including HR Generalist or HRBP duties, preferably with a mix of experience in fast-growing technology companies and best in class established organizations
  • Strong analytics & reporting skills
  • Experienced in working across business functions with first line and senior leadership
  • Clear, direct, approachable, and friendly communication style, with strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable fielding difficult questions
  • Demonstrated judgment and ability to deal with confidential and sensitive matters effectively
