Job Functions:

  • Provide functional and local HR support across multiple business units within Universal Music Group
  • Facilitate and help implement key HR initiatives, projects and programs
  • Greet incoming visitors, applicants, and employees, and serve as front line HR customer service representative and follow up, as appropriate. Spend time getting to know our employees professionally, so that they think of HR as a go-to resource. Field basic questions to assist employees, and provide relevant updates to HR team to follow up
  • Input all data into HRIS/Payroll system related to employee actions (Promotions, transfers, contract increases, terminations etc.)
  • Utilize HRIS systems to research issues and provide data to HR team and clients, as appropriate
  • Prepare offer letters, conduct reference checks, and other pre-employment documentation, as needed
  • Responsible for employee on-boarding, including processing all new hire paperwork, conducting new hire orientations, and liaising with admin services and IT on new hire work space and technology needs
  • Prepare required documents for separations, schedule exit interviews and collect company assets upon exit
  • Support HR Business Partner team in day-to-day administrative tasks and projects, answering tier one employee questions with a focus on customer service and maintaining a positive attitude
  • Route job requisitions for approval
  • Maintain org charts and update regularly
  • Responsible for I-9 update processing
  • Analysis of transfers and proration and/or charge backs if needed
  • Responsible for tracking and coordinating deliverables for our employee service award program
  • Maintain applicable Federal, State, and local required postings up-to-date
  • Assist in monitoring and ordering business supplies
  • Ad hoc projects

  • Take initiative and find opportunities to help team achieve goals and deliverables aligned with plan

  • Demonstrate flexibility and able to work additional hours as needed

  • Strong understanding of and commitment to confidentiality

Experience:

  • 2-4 years of HR experience preferred (with an interest in expanding overall knowledge base in HR)
  • HRIS experience, SAP and PeopleSoft a plus
  • General knowledge of HR-related legal issues, policies and regulations helpful
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. Visio and/or Org Plus experience a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field.
