What’s so interesting about this role?
We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and process-oriented Head of Recruitment to lead Grindr’s current TA processes, programs, systems, and operations to position us for rapid growth. The successful candidate will also get to “scratch their advocacy itch” by leading Grindr’s Diversity, Equity, and Belonging efforts.
What’s the job?
The priorities for this role are to:
- Overhaul our TA engine. Use your experience to develop scalable and data-driven processes and systems from sourcing through acceptance including sourcing strategies, job specs, interview team alignment and debriefs, interviewer training and integration of tools (ATS, assessments, etc.). Build an engine that will enable 50% YoY headcount growth.
- Make our employer brand as well known as our product brand. Create and implement a multi-pronged strategy to develop a well-known and differentiated employer brand that will enable Grindr to attract and hire the best talent. Make our brand as an employer as well-known as our brand in the queer dating space.
- Monitor our hiring plans and progress. Partner with cross-functional leaders to understand hiring needs and communicate progress to plan. Understand our recruiting funnel so you can provide regular updates, identify choke points, and recommend/take corrective action.
- Hire and retain a great team. Make sure you have a scrappy team of people who are motivated by our mission and want to play key roles on our journey. We want a TA team that acts as Ambassadors of Grindr in everything they do.
- Create vehicles to proactively source exceptional talent. Build and maintain a diverse talent pipeline to meet the needs of our high-growth strategy. Create and own programs to develop and maintain a diverse pipeline of talent with high conversion rates.
- Make our hiring managers the best around. Every interview is an opportunity to sell Grindr as an employer of choice and a well-prepared/well-trained hiring manager can make all the difference. Train, enable, and coach them to be the best!
- Ensure a delightful candidate experience. Always keep an eye on creating a uniquely special experience for our candidates. Make them want to be wanted by us.
- Personally spearhead and drive Grindr’s Diversity, Equity, and Belonging (DEB) initiatives. Help Grindr be a positive force in the LGBTQQIIA+ community and a company that uses diversity, in all applications of the word, as a competitive advantage.
What We’ll Love About You:
- 10+ years of recruiting experience with at least 5 of those in leading talent acquisition organizations
- 3+ years experience leading talent acquisition at a high growth tech company
- Experience building and managing a talent acquisition team
- Experience with talent acquisition operations, including technology, enablement, and analytics
- Experience building foundation of recruiting
- Start-up experience
