The Role
The Head of People will build, implement, and lead all recruiting, HR, people programs and processes that will enable a successful world-class culture and employee experience as Altruist continues to scale.
What you’ll do
- Organizational Assessment and Design: Be the voice of the team while developing and implementing programs that make Altruist a great place to work
- Employee Experience: Help build a team that support rapid growth and scale; including designing employee experiences starting from recruiting, onboarding, and career progression
- Talent and Recruiting: Develop and implement talent management programs and strategies. Establish a recruiting platform to hire exceptional team members that uphold our core values by building a robust recruiting strategy, building Altruist’s employer brand, and developing internal talent
- Leadership and development: Create and own learning and development programs and strategies to optimize the team’s performance
- Compensation and Benefits: Administer all aspects of the people department, including building, developing and managing competitive, contemporary compensation and benefit programs
- Employee Advocacy: Drive team member retention by helping to implement engagement strategies and serve as an employee advocate by managing HR-related issues and ensuring employee’s voices are heard
- Culture and Values Champion: Build a lasting-culture and take a data driven approach to decisions that align with Altruist Values
- Executive Partnership: Serve as a partner to leadership by providing actionable team member insights
- Diversity and Inclusion: Develop and implement diversity and inclusion strategy and programs that reflect Altruist’s core values
What you’ll need
- 10+ years experience in human resources or people functions
- Proven track record of growing and scaling a high performance people team, preferably at a technology company or high growth company
- Proven ability to work with a high degree of initiative, resourcefulness and autonomy
- Experience crafting and deploying people systems and processes
- Experience with core people domains, including performance development, workforce management, people data analysis, compensation, diversity and inclusion, and employee relations
- Experience influencing and advising senior leaders on sophisticated employment matters
- Strong leadership skills
- A passion for solving problems
- The ability to thrive in ambiguity
