Director, Internal Communications & Employee Engagement

Director, Internal Communications & Employee Engagement is responsible for communications plans and activities that inform and engage employees with DISQO’s vision, mission, and values in workplaces across the globe. This person will support and drive the effectiveness of companywide communications and engagement strategies through various channels, content, measurement and events. This person will also assist teams in implementing programs and developing or advising on content for speeches, announcements, events, social media and videos. The ideal candidate is both a team player and self-starter and has the ability to roll up their sleeves to make things happen. This person will act as a sounding board and partner to senior leadership, assisting them with their communications to ensure proactive, timely, and inspiring messages.
Responsibilities
- Drive forward company culture by inspiring and aligning the team around the company’s mission, vision, values and philosophies
- Develop, manage, and operationalize a communications strategy, calendar and measurement dashboard to ensure engaging, proactive, consistent employee communications
- Work with leadership to analyze engagement survey results, identify trends, and make recommendations to improve/maintain high employee engagement
- Steward the voices of the leadership and the Company by developing communications supporting program rollouts and change initiatives.
- Partner with a variety of stakeholders to implement major internal initiatives and engagement activities such as company all-hands meetings, internal announcements, department reorganization communications, etc.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition on DISQO’s award strategy, supporting and leading the application process as relevant.
- Advise and serve as a go-to resource, collaborating with a wide range of executives, partners and stakeholders using a consultative approach; provide communications expertise, counsel, and support
- Draft, edit, approve, and consult on key employee-facing communications
- Ensure internal communications messages are aligned with DISQO’s brand, consistent across all mediums and aligned with integrated with messaging
- Embody DISQO’s values in all activities and further DISQO’s culture in personal leadership style, as well as communications work products.
- Craft social media responses such as with GlassDoor as necessary
- Act as key member of HR leadership team
What You Bring To The Role
- Successful track record of communication program development, implementation and ongoing management
- Strong understanding of communication techniques and best practices with the willingness to try new approaches
- A metrics driven, analytical approach determining message efficacy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to map out complex problems, providing clear messaging
- Team-oriented disposition with ability to facilitate, own cross-functional discussions, gather, analyze, interpret and apply a range of inputs
- Enthusiastic problem-solver who can improvise and think creatively
- Able to work independently, manage priorities, and maintain communication with stakeholders

- A bachelor’s degree or higher in communications or similar discipline
