Director, Human Resources
We’re looking for a Director, HR to join Snap Inc! Working closely with the multiple organizations across Snap, you’ll align our people strategy to help the business achieve strategic and operational objectives. Working from our Los Angeles, CA headquarters, you’ll work with colleagues across the company to deliver an amazing experience for our employees.
What you’ll do:
People Strategy/Business Partner:
Perform as the strategic HR partner to the multiple executive teams to influence initiatives that attract, develop, and retain employees to support our short and long-term business goals
Provide insight and analysis on people-related measures to guide the People Team’s focus areas
Partner with key stakeholders to ensure employee and business needs are exceeded, with key focus on organizational design in a rapidly scaling organization
Drive, and participate in, execution of People team initiatives
Lead and develop a team of HR Business Partners
Model and reinforce our cultural values of being kind, smart, and creative
Performance & Talent Management:
Recommend, develop, and implement performance, development, talent review, and succession planning processes
Provide counsel and guidance on people management and development issues
Function as an executive coach to key clients and leaders
Recommend, develop, and implement Learning & Development programs tailored to the teams you support in partnership with the L&D function
Employee Relations:
Assess and address concerns to create a culture of transparency and equity
Ensure HR policies are relevant, communicated, followed, and in line with local requirements
Establish tools to enable effective working relationships with and between managers and employees
Handle investigations when necessary
Remain up-to-date on local employment legislation and compliance
Compensation & Benefits:
Partner with Compensation & Benefits to ensure that equitable pay for performance is in place, including relevant pay structures and reward mechanisms for the unique needs of the teams supported
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field
10+ years experience in a progressively growing HR leadership role with proven success in building relations and influencing leaders on the full spectrum of HR offerings
Preferred qualifications:
Proven, trusted business partner to senior executives who you have supported in past roles
Experience with performance management, organizational design, recruitment, immigration, employee relations/coaching, compensation, benefits, and employee communications
Ability to creatively develop and adapt HR offerings that deliver on the unique needs of the organization while avoiding unnecessary process or bureaucracy
Domestic (multi-state) and international experience
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and communicate at all levels of the organization—someone who is a team player
Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the Google Drive suite
Ability to prioritize workload and self-manage projects, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
A detail-oriented problem solver with intuitive decision-making skills
