Senior Compensation Manager

We are currently seeking a Compensation Manager to join our growing HR team at our headquarters in West Hollywood. Reporting to the Director, People Operations, this position will play a critical role in developing and structuring compensation to yield the highest value for our organization. Ideal candidates will have experience with start-up organizations and have an HR specialist background in compensation, with some knowledge of benefits.
What you’ll do:
- Create job architecture and compensation structure in addition to setting salaries and pay mixes
- Identify trends and implement new practices to engage and motivate employees
- Develop and maintain our compensation plans with monetary and non-monetary benefits based on employee needs
- Track prevailing pay rates and ensure we are compliant and offer competitive compensation plans
- Structure compensation in ways that will yield the highest value for the organization
- Track compensation and benefits benchmarking data
- Work closely with People, Recruiting, Finance, and Legal on our policies and programs
- Partner with FP&A to ensure that correct estimates of compensation related to forecasted hiring are reflected in the company budget
- Create scalable model that will enable routine review of market compensation
What you’ll bring:
- Mastery level knowledge of compensation in a high growth company with at least 250 employees and expanding
- Experience creating and implementing a scalable job architecture and compensation structure
- Experience communicating and educating an organization on compensation systems, structure and decisions
- Proven success researching, recommending and implementing procedures, guidelines, and policies based on strong reporting and analytics
- Ability to prioritize workload, embrace the sense of urgency, innovation and resourcefulness, handle multiple tasks at once, and has a savant-like attention to detail
- Experience with the selection and implementation of an HRIS system
- Experience working with Namely HRIS preferred, but not required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong technical knowledge of excel required including development of spreadsheets with formulas, functions, pivot tables, lookups
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to build personal
- A Bachelor’s Degree and/or 4-6 years of related experience in and/or training in Compensation with a demonstrated level of increasing responsibility and complexity
