Benefits Specialist
The Benefits Specialist will create and own a robust benefits program to support all FloQast employees. This role will own and administer various benefits including, but not limited to: Healthcare, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, Supplemental benefits, Flexible Spending Accounts, Retirement plans, wellness programs, discount programs etc. The ideal candidate will provide a high quality white-glove benefits service to employees for new hire enrollments, qualifying events, annual open enrollments and more! Benefits and healthcare can be a confusing process for employees and this role will serve to take the difficulties out of enrollments and plan changes so employees feel confident and comfortable.
The Benefits Specialist will also conduct regular analysis to evaluate current plan offerings as well as what is considered “market” in terms of benefits and make recommendations to offer the best packages, but at the lowest cost to the Company, that are externally competitive and legally compliant.

Responsibilities Include:
- Own and manage all benefits, wellness, discount programs including, but not limited to: Healthcare, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, FSA, 401k, Discount Programs
- Research compensation and benefit plans and policies to ensure FloQast is providing competitive and comprehensive benefits for all employees
- Conduct regular cost and data analysis to compare benefits and compensation packages and make recommendations as needed
- Conduct annual benefits review
- Create processes, procedures and workflows for all benefit programs and ensure all information is documented properly
- Understand current regulations and stay current with changes to ensure benefits programs remain compliant
- Conduct comprehensive and detailed onboarding intro to benefits for all new employees
- Own and manage all employee benefit changes, including: qualifying events, loss of coverage etc
- Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments and changes in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate information
- Perform regular system audits to ensure benefits related records are clean and accurate
- Act as main-point of contact to employees regarding benefits questions, including enrollments, claims, plan changes etc
- Own planning, management and execution of open enrollment
- Create regular and clear communication collateral to inform employees of all benefit options
- Partner with the Finance team to manage the 401(k) plan and respond to inquiries from employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts
- Reviews all benefits census and billing/invoices for accuracy
- Any other tasks that may be assigned to help the company meet its goals
Desired Qualities and Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in an HR Benefits administration role is required
- Experience running a national benefits program is required
- Previous experience with HRIS is required, preferably Paycom
- Certified Employee Benefits Specialist designation is a huge plus
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and G-Suite
- Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws
- Highly analytical with the ability to review, interpret and present data and findings to HR leaders and relevant stakeholders
- Ability to create and prepare comprehensive reports and demonstrate findings
- Energetic, positive and enthusiastic team player with strong interpersonal skills and collaborative orientation
- Detail oriented with strong problem-solving and decision making skills
- Self-starter with a high level of initiative and follow-through
- Strong sense of ownership and urgency, organizational and time management skills, ability to multitask and prioritize work
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and consultative skills
- Impeccable work ethic and integrity
- Ability to work well under tight deadlines and respond to rapidly changing demands and fulfill efficient follow ups
