This leader will translate complex AI-driven workflows into intuitive, physician-loved interfaces—bridging usability, accuracy, and emotion into a seamless, unified experience. You’ll collaborate with product, engineering, and clinical teams to ensure Scribe sets the bar for trust, speed, and clarity in healthcare design.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the full design lifecycle for note generation, editing, and EHR integration workflows.
Build and mentor a small, world-class design team (product, UX research, brand).
Translate physician feedback into elegant design systems that improve note accuracy and reduce editing time.
Define scalable design systems and component libraries for consistent cross-platform experiences.
Drive continuous user research and testing with physicians to validate and refine the experience.
Roll out note template customization with user feedback loop.
Hard Requirements
7+ years in product or UX design, with at least 3 years in leadership.
Proven experience designing complex AI or data-heavy workflows.
Deep understanding of usability, accessibility, and information hierarchy.
Strong collaboration skills with engineering and product counterparts.
Portfolio demonstrating high-quality UX for technical or clinical applications.
Nice-to-Have
Experience designing for healthcare tools or EHR-integrated systems (Epic, Athena).
Familiarity with HIPAA, clinical documentation standards, and regulatory UX constraints.
Background in conversational interfaces, voice UX, or AI copilots.
First-Month Focus
Audit current Scribe UX across web, iOS, and Chrome extension.
Identify high-friction physician workflows and prioritize redesign opportunities.
Define Scribe’s visual system and component guidelines for engineering handoff.
Success OKRs (90 Days)
Launch redesigned note editing experience reducing physician edit time to <2 minutes.
Achieve ≥95% satisfaction in physician usability surveys from pilot users.
Establish unified design system implemented across all Scribe interfaces.
