What You’ll Do:    

We’re looking for a senior software engineer who is passionate about building high-quality, scalable applications and enjoys working in a collaborative, supportive environment. In this role, you’ll help shape an exciting new team focused on Finance Engineering for DSP (Demand-Side Platform). This team is dedicated to building solutions that power cost and revenue tracking, ensuring the business can accurately manage spend and optimize financial performance.

This role will be based in the Washington or California offices. Our team follows a hybrid schedule working in-office three days a week and remotely for the rest.  

Each day can be different here at Nexxen, but some of the things you can expect to be doing daily are: 

  • Design, build, and maintain high-performance, high-volume applications

  • Develop scalable web applications using C#, .NET, and ASP.NET

  • Work with SQL databases (ideally Vertica) and RDBMS such as Oracle PL/SQL

  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, business operations, and customers

  • Contribute to system architecture design, especially for distributed systems

  • Use Git and GitLab for version control

  • Operate in Linux environments

  • Work within an Agile development process  

What You’ll Bring:

  • BS (or higher) in computer science or a related field

  • 5+ years of overall engineering experience

  • 5+ years of programming experience with C#

  • Proficiency in the .NET framework

  • Senior-level experience in ASP.NET web development

  • Experience working with SQL databases, ideally Vertica

  • Expertise in RDBMS software, such as Oracle PL/SQL

  • Knowledge of Linux and Windows

  • Experience building and maintaining scalable, high-performance applications

  • Strong system architecture knowledge, especially with distributed systems

  • Proficiency with Git and GitLab

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, product managers, business teams, and customers

  • Experience working in an Agile development environment

  • Excellent communication skills

  • A team player who values collaboration

   Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of ad tech, finance, or online advertising

  • Experience with Java, Python, Scala, Docker, or Kubernetes

  • Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases, data pipelines, or streaming systems

  • Exposure to AWS and machine learning

In support of pay transparency and equity, the minimum and maximum full-time annual base salary for this role is $170,000 - 210,000  at the time of posting, with the potential of an incentive or bonus. While this is our reasonable expectation this is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, certifications, responsibility, and geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. We offer a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability insurance, 401(k), EAP, parental leave, unlimited vacation, and company-paid holidays.
