Vice President of Finance
Our client is an early-stage, subscription based B2B technology company, located in downtown Los Angeles, that has developed innovative products that are being adopted rapidly by their target clients.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the COO/CFO (who is one of the founders), the Vice President of Finance role performs and manages Finance activities, oversees the Company’s accounting activities, analyzes financial data to support the executives in decision making, manages banking relationships, and provides meaningful data to external investors.

Essential Job Functions
- Manage all aspects of accounting, finance, and management reporting
- Partner with the leadership team on determining appropriate financial analyses, KPIs, pricing analyses, performance analysis of existing services, and providing recommendations for financial and operational efficiency and improvement
- Own the financial models and supporting analysis of existing and future business services
- Develop the annual operating budget and monthly forecasts
- Collaborate with management to develop, support, and implement financial and operational initiatives
- Provide financial support to the Executive Committee in fundraising and investor relations
- Closely manage and monitor cash needs for the company
- Create and distributes regular reports to management and Board of Directors on relevant operating and financial metrics, such as:
- Month-end financial results
- Cash flow forecasts
- P&L forecasts
- Business Development opportunities pipeline
- Assist with preparation of the board presentations
- Develop or enhance policies, procedures and systems that will improve financial insight and overall operations as well as implementation and enforcement of these policies and procedures
Qualified Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or similar
- MBA or CPA preferred
- 7+ years of related work experience
- Current or prior experience in a startup or early-stage, growing company, ideally in Software, Technology, FinTech, or Internet companies
- Proven leader and collaborative business partner
- High aptitude and enthusiasm for complex financial modeling and analysis
- Ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines effectively
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Great interpersonal skills
Compensation:
$140,000 to $160,000 base salary plus equity (all leaders of the company are taking lower than market cash compensation packages due to the high likelihood of monetizing the equity)
