We are helping millions save when they shop online, and we're hiring! We are actively seeking a Technical Accounting & Reporting Manager to join the Operations Team in our Los Angeles office.

About The Role:

We are seeking a proven leader with public accounting experience to serve as the Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting Manager in a dynamic and high growth organization.

What You’ll Do:

As a Technical Accounting & Reporting Manager at Honey, you will:

• Monitor new GAAP and SEC releases and help define and implement necessary process and reporting changes
• Prepare technical accounting memos per US GAAP
• Provide guidance through potential IFRS related changes (if any)
• Manage complex accounting topics including stock-based compensation, foreign exchange forward contracts, acquisitions, and other ad-hoc complex events
• Develop and maintain key accounting policies (e.g. revenue recognition, cost accounting, etc.)
• Make recommendations as needed with regard to policies and procedures
• Support the SOX process and implementation of key controls and procedures
• Work closely with Auditors on technical accounting matters and SEC reporting
• When required, manage the SEC reporting process including preparation of quarterly 10Q’s and annual 10K, Proxy filings, and assist with review of additional company filings, such as the Earnings Release
• Manage and coordinate with executive management, business owners, and legal to draft various sections of the SEC filings and review results with key executives, audit committee, and auditors

About You:

• BS/BA in Accounting, active CPA license required
• 5-8+ years’ work experience, of which 3+ years should be in public accounting or technical accounting roles (including SEC reporting)
• Big 4 Accounting experience preferable
• Strong SOX, GAAP and SEC reporting experience along with hands on experience drafting 10Q/10K
• Ability to research, compile, analyze and interpret data
• Strong communication skills (including writing, verbal, and collaborative skills)
• Self-starter who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Strong team player and builds relationships across organizations
• Proven track record of leadership
