How will you contribute:
As a Staff Accountant, your job will consist of both billing and accounting functions. You will be tasked with managing our day-to-day billing operations. The billing functions include, but are not limited to: processing daily bill runs, completing various SalesForce cases related to billing adjustments, and working on ad-hoc projects as requested. In addition to the above tasks, you will also be assisting with our month end close such as cash reconciliations, accounts payable and any other ad hoc tasks/projects necessary.
Skill you’ll bring:
- 1-2 years of accounting experience, month end close analysis, etc.
- 1-2 years of billing experience a plus
- Experience with Zuora or similar billing software a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to perform various account reconciliations such as cash, prepaid, AP, etc.
- Ability to process large volumes of invoices and billing adjustments
Why you're important to us:
As a Staff Accountant, you will be an integral part of the finance team and our business operations. You will make sure all our invoices and payments are processed correctly. In addition you will help our finance team with various accounting functions during the month end close.
In 90 days you will:
You will hit the ground running and learn the major functionalities of both Zuora (our billing system) and SalesForce. You will be trained on how to make billing adjustments, create invoices, and process payments. You will also learn how to process Bill-runs, which will entail reviewing and processing invoices.
On the accounting side, you will be trained on creating and posting journal entries to Quickbooks, processing payables in Bill.com, and updating cash schedules. At the end of the 90 days, you will be well versed in our various billing and accounting software platforms, and be able to operate our billing independently. Once you have mastered the billing functions you will begin to take on more accounting functions; such as maintaining schedules of prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and accounts payable.
