Position Summary
Leaselock is searching for a driven, organized and detail-oriented Staff Accountant. From accounts payable to accounts receivable, you will support the day-to-day accounting operations and help improve business processes to help the company scale for growth. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams and to develop one’s skills in all aspects of accounting. The ideal candidate is a tech-savvy spreadsheet wizard with a demonstrated knowledge of accounting and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities Include
Collect and maintain documentation such as vendor & customer records, invoices, supporting documentation and necessary approval(s)
Perform timely and accurate general ledger entries
Prepare monthly A/R invoices
Monitor and analyze activity on payment processing platforms
Manage payment and billing issues, including following up on collections
Assist with expense reimbursements and credit card reconciliations
Assist with month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and the preparation of schedules & journal entries
Assist with audit prep, tax prep and 1099s
Various ad-hoc projects
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
1-2 years of accounting experience; start-up work experience a plus
Solid working knowledge of GAAP
Strong proficiency in Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Quickbooks experience a plus
