Sr. Accountant
Summary
The Senior Accountant is a member of the TeleSign HQ Accounting team. This position is responsible for owning employee expense management, preparing and helping to review month-end close processes, monthly reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting and other critical accounting projects that help drive TeleSign’s growth. This position also supports TeleSign in meeting all relevant financial, compliance, and other regulatory obligations.
Key responsibilities
- Record and help review month-end close entries, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Primary reviewer of all employee expense reports to ensure policy adherence and proper account coding
- Assist with the preparation of monthly and annual financial reporting, including variance analysis
- Monitor and maintain the worldwide tax compliance calendar, prepare routine tax filings, ensure estimated tax payments are paid timely
- Assist in the annual audit of the US and/or subsidiary entities
- Ensure proper application of internal controls to maintain the integrity of financial reporting
- Interface with other departments to ensure accounting issues are properly addressed
- Assist with ad-hoc projects as requested by local and global team
- Prepare and maintain procedure documents for areas of responsibility
Requirements
- BA in Accounting, Finance
- 3 to 5 years of experience; including a blend of start-up/technology industry and 1-2 years in public accounting
- Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision
- High degree of integrity and ethics
- Strong technical and general ledger accounting knowledge
- Advanced Excel skills
- Must be a self-starter, high attention to detail, flexible, resourceful, organized, process driven

- NetSuite experience a plus
- Concur / Accrualify experience a plus
- Experience working with sensitive and confidential data
