Indirect Tax, Sales and Use Tax, GST or Goods and Services Tax, VAT or Value Added Tax, Vertex, Reconciliation

• Preparation, reviewing, and filing indirect (Sales & Use, GST, VAT) and personal property tax returns across all jurisdictions.
• Leads and assists with various state and local tax projects including implications of sales and purchase transactions, audit defense, reverse audits, credits & incentive research/analysis, nexus planning and voluntary disclosures.
• Helps with key indirect technology projects by identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and streamline workflow.
• Assists with developing and implementing a strategy for ensuring indirect and property tax compliance in a rapidly growing business.
• Assists with research and keeping abreast of rapidly evolving indirect tax requirements, while supporting necessary business and process change implementations to meet these changes.
• Collaborates and engages with business, finance, and IT teams in relation to indirect, property and other state and local tax matters.
• Provides regular and insightful communications to manager regarding the evolving indirect tax landscape and impacts to the business.
• Monitors state and local nexus requirements.
• Assists with developing and evaluating planning opportunities.
• Assists operating personnel in following corporate tax accounting policies and procedures.
• May represent the company as the primary tax specialist on projects.
• Provides direction to cross-functional finance departments.
• Preforms other duties as assigned or required, including supporting income tax compliance and other areas of tax.
