System1 is seeking a self-motivated dynamic individual to serve as the Senior Accountant to join our revenue and operations group. In this role you will deal with treasury and cash management. This role operates on the operational side of accounting and interfaces with payables, receivables, cash management, analytical cash flows and cash flow modeling, both short and long term. In this role you will be responsible for timely invoicing for various business partners and application of cash receipts. You will be charged with invoicing customers based on earned revenue and investigate any variances to internal expectations as well as other primary accounting duties.

As part of our accounting team, this position will play a critical role in System1’s operations department. You will be working alongside our exceptional accounting team.

The Role You Will Have:

• Timely invoicing for various business partners and application of cash receipts.
• Invoice based on earned revenue, compare to internal expectations, and investigate variances as necessary.
• Update receivables by maintaining AR aging schedules and addressing uncollected balances
• Work on assigned duties relating to the close including accrual journal entries, adjustments, and revenue transaction uploads, in accordance with the company’s revenue recognition policies and revenue accounting standards
• Support interim and annual audits
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Perform ad hoc requests and special projects on an ongoing basis.
• Proactively identify process improvements to help the company scale in our fast growth environment.

What You Will Bring:

• 5+ years of combined work experience in external audit or corporate accounting
• Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
• Strong A/R and Revenue experience
• Oracle software experience preferred but not required
• CPA or CPA candidate
• Current Oracle ERP experience is a plus
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
