Role Overview:

The EZ Texting Finance Team is looking for a proactive, hands-on Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team, where you will play a critical role in providing business insights to measure progress on company performance and influence financial, strategic and operational decision-making. This position will coordinate across functions in FP&A and business strategy and will work with personnel across all departments. A passion for technology, exceptional work ethic, team oriented mentality is essential for this impactful role.  This role provides broad exposure to executive management and key decision makers across the company.  But what makes an excellent candidate is someone who strives to find ways to help find opportunities, solve complex problems, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, high growth environment. 

  • Understand EZ Texting’s business drivers and KPIs, and drive increased forecasting accuracy
  • Analyze KPIs, metrics, and maintain/analyze complex data based on different categories (sales channels, product mix, new business models etc)
  • Managing revenue forecasts through communicating with the Customer Team on a weekly basis
  • In support of FP&A goals, develop, execute and effectively communicate significant analyses that identify meaningful trends and opportunities across the business. Leverage tools and systems to quickly access data and present meaningful, concise information to various levels of management
  • Creating presentation decks for internal leadership, our financing partners, and the Board of Directors
  • Work on ad hoc financial analyses with other departments and business partners
  • Prepare, analyze, and summarize monthly financials and key performance indicators (KPIs) reports for use by leadership teams
  • Maintain ownership of comprehensive, driver-based financial models with an integrated set of financial statements, assumptions, and metrics
  • Provide strong business analytic decision support on numerous revenue and cost initiatives, return on investment analyses and/or other assigned projects
  • Support best-in-class finance capabilities by partnering with teams across the company to drive financial and strategic insight through deep goal-oriented financial analysis and long-range planning
  • Support both quantitative and qualitative analysis influence decisions
  • Develop financial models and analysis to support a broad range of projects across the company


Job Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of financial modeling and analysis
  • Proficiency in  financial planning, forecasting and reporting processes
  • Experience with creating presentation materials at the executive level
  • Basic knowledge of the principles, concepts, and practices of accounting
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Entrepreneurial, flexible, and collaborative
  • Proactive, ‘self-starter’ mindset and desire to hold ownership of work product
  • Exceptional attention to detail and able to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to work cross-functionally
  • Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality, judgment and professionalism


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a related role
  • Venture backed FP&A or Investment Banking a plus
  • Experience in high growth SaaS, technology or subscription driven business
  • Advanced skills in Excel
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
