FabFitFun is searching for a Senior Corporate Accountant to join the Accounting and Finance team at our HQ office located in West Hollywood! This individual will have the opportunity to greatly impact and improve processes within a fast-paced eCommerce business. We are looking for someone who can thrive on deadlines, bring innovation, and roll up their sleeves to get the job done.

What You’ll Do:

• Compile month-end reporting packages including income statement, balance sheet, and related analytical analysis
• Act as primary liaison with external bookkeepers for operations in Europe and Asia and perform analysis on bookkeepers’ deliverables prior to recording transactions within accounting system
• Assist in multi-entity consolidation and recording of intercompany elimination and foreign currency translations
• Become the subject matter expert in assigned financial statement areas; understand end-to-end process and interpret and present information such as trends, cost drivers, and other KPIs
• Prepare and record accurate and timely month-end journal entries within the General Ledger
• Assemble balance sheet account reconciliations
• Consolidate financial statements analytics to establish discrepancies and determine solutions
• Identify areas of improvement and execute plans to streamline the close process
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable team to improve GL coding accuracy 
• Partner with Finance to analyze and communicate business trends, key performance indicators (KPIs), benchmarks, and variances between budget and actuals to stakeholders
• Assist the Senior Accounting Manager with standardization of internal and external accounting systems, desktop procedures, monitoring internal controls, and special ad hoc projects as needed
• Perform technical accounting research to determine appropriate treatment for a variety of transactions under US GAAP, including but not limited to, stock-based compensation and ASC 842 adoption.
• Support the annual financial statement audit and any related audit requests

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent field 
• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Proficiency with accounting systems and practices, NetSuite experience preferred
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel
• Demonstrate an ability to think critically, work independently, and take initiative to research ad hoc accounting issues 
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with teams across departments and in different time zones
• Can evaluate and interpret analytical themes from data

Bonus Points:

• Public accounting firm (Big 4) or private company background
• Experience with a retail, startup, eCommerce, or subscription business 
• Familiarity with Looker or other BI systems 
• Understanding of international accounting and multi-entity accounting including elimination, consolidation, and foreign exchange
