Accounting Lead, Revenue
We're looking for an Accounting Lead who can focus on ensuring completeness and accuracy of Quibi's financials. We need someone who can partner with all departments across the company as well as external suppliers and advertising/subscription partners. Do you enjoy collaborating across teams to make an impact? What You'll Do:
Lead the recording of subscriber revenue
Work with advertising partners in billing and collection
Partner with business and procurement to understand committed and actual spend with a focus on Marketing
Ensure all invoices have accurate coding and are processed on time with the Staff Accountant
Record and review lease accounting
Compile and record monthly accruals for specified area
Review and record monthly amortization of prepaids
Prepare and review monthly ledger reconciliations
Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues
Support in the preparation of accurate, timely month/quarter/annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP & Cash
Assist accounting team with financial statement and compliance audits
Create and maintain Workday reporting and processes to efficiently and accurately supervise transactions
Uncover opportunities to create impact and improve process efficiencies
What You’ll Need:
5-7+ years of experience in general accounting
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. CPA a plus
Outstanding cross-functional partner, collaborator, and communicator
Ability to clearly communicate complex analyses and actionable insights to a broad range of cross-functional business partners
Excellent excel skills and passion for complex problem solving and data analysis
Both big picture strategic thinking and the ability to dig in with outstanding attention to detail
Entrepreneurial spirit and can-do demeanor of a self-starter who can work autonomously within the accounting team
Adaptability and excitement to work in a growing and evolving business environment
Experience with Workday a plus
