WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

The Trade Desk is seeking an experienced general accounting professional to drive process improvements of the month end closing process and help build a best-in-class function. Reporting to the Assistant Controller and working with a team of accounting professionals worldwide, the Senior GL Accountant will help certify the accurate and timely execution of the closing processes.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Participate in the month-end close process
• Prepare monthly journal entries across numerous sections of the Chart of Accounts
• Prepare reconciliations and analysis of various balance sheet and P & L accounts
• Research, document and implement the impact of current accounting standards
• Review vendor contracts and identify accounting impact
• Propose and implement processes to improve timeliness and accuracy of monthly close
• Lead the coordination between the accounting team and external auditors to support the external audit and SOX compliance
• Engage in other accounting projects, such as financial reporting, implementation of new ERP and new accounting close software

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

• A dedication to teamwork, collaboration, and flexibility
• A four-year degree in accounting, finance, economics or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in a corporate accounting position
• Demonstrated experience applying innovative ideas to new or recurring work processes
• Acute attention to detail
• Outstanding communication skills – including written and verbal communications, interpersonal, analytical, negotiating and problem-solving skills
• Ability to juggle multiple high priorities and have a willingness to learn
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and spreadsheet applications
• Experience in accounting close processes and accounting systems

Bonus points for a candidate with:

• Recent Big 4 Audit experience and/or experience at a publicly traded company highly preferred
• Ad-tech company experience
• Experience with Oracle Cloud or other Oracle products
