We are looking for an experienced and passionate accounting and finance professional to help us build a best-in-class finance department at a growing IOT water monitoring and control company. We have a highly motivated team and are looking for a like-minded individual ready to play a key role in taking our organization to the next level.
The ideal candidate will have passion for finance and technology, while enjoying work in a fast-paced environment that continues to evolve with our products, customers and team. The role will report to Flo’s VP of finance.

Responsibilities

• Develop the company’s internal accounting and control function with the VP of finance 
• Determine and implement proper GAAP accounting treatment for revenue and expense activities
• Perform monthly accounting close activities (i.e., journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and reporting) and maintain financial schedules and ledgers
• Prepare monthly and quarterly department- and company-level flux analyses (i.e., including actual vs. budget, current vs. prior period, etc.)
• Investigate and resolve any general ledger/subledger discrepancies 
• Perform ad-hoc financial analyses to help support leadership decisions across the organization (sourcing, supply chain, new partnerships, pricing, etc.)
• Process semi-monthly payroll 
• Assist with preparation of GAAP and non-GAAP financial statements 
• Review and manage the company’s A/P, A/R, cash reconciliation and expense reimbursement processes

Qualifications (Required)

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance 
• 3+ years accounting experience; 1+ years accounting experience with a manufacturing or technology company
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
• Demonstrated proficiency in financial analysis and preparation of financial statements
• 1+ years of NetSuite (or equivalent) experience 
• Ability to work independently and with teams across the organization
• Willingness to roll-up your sleeves and respond to changing tasks to support the company’s growth

Additional Qualifications (Preferred)

• CPA strongly preferred
• Big 4 accounting experience
• Advanced knowledge of Netsuite
• Proficiency with Shopify, Expensify, ADP
• Start-up experience
