The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for preparation of external reporting documents, supporting external audits, assisting in technical accounting research and ad hoc projects as necessary. The candidate will be able manage tight deadlines, drive process improvements, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, pay attention to details and ensure compliance with financial reporting standards.

What you'll do:

  • Oversee the preparation, coordination, and review of disclosures associated with quarterly and annual financial statements. Ensure all of filings are in compliance with SEC and U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”) requirements
  • Build, oversee and maintain appropriate documentation to support all disclosures
  • Coordinate the review and approval of financial statements with key stakeholders, including senior management, external auditors and internal and external legal counsel
  • Drive process improvements to improve timing and internal controls related to the financial statement process
  • Assist in research and drafting of technical accounting memos on various topics
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly equity roll forwards, EPS calculations and statements of cash flows
  • Assist with the preparation and production of the internal financial statements
  • Review and monitor GAAP and SEC rules and regulations and comparable or relevant company financial statement disclosures
  • Partner with accounting and finance teams to develop business intelligence that will enhance financial reporting
  • Assist with preparation of supporting schedules & reports as required to comply with quarterly reviews/annual audits with external auditors and for the quarterly board meetings
  • Collaborate with enterprise risk team to work towards establishing and enhancing formal processes for internal controls surrounding the external reporting process to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX) requirements
  • Provide support to any special and ad-hoc projects and drive automation of processes

What we are looking for:

  • At least four to six years of accounting, audit and/or financial reporting experience
  • Experience auditing public companies under PCAOB standards or SEC financial reporting experience in the technology industry is required, SasS experience is preferable
  • Active CPA is required
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and written
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast changing, high growth environment while building processes that are repeatable in tight close timelines
