Revenue Accounting Manager

ServiceTitan is seeking a hands-on Revenue Accounting Manager to join our growing Accounting team in one of the fastest growing tech startups in Southern California, backed by the best VC firms in the SaaS space. This person will become a subject-matter expert in administering the billing, controls process, GAAP and SaaS revenue metric reporting. The position will report directly to the Financial Controller but will have close interaction with the revenue operations team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure revenue for all segments are accurately recorded in accordance with ASC 606
  • Working directly with Revenue Operations and act as a dedicated resource for approving non-standard contract terms
  • Create and enforce best practices for order-to-cash processes to enhance internal controls and process efficiencies. This may include pricing, contracting, collections, cancellations, credit checks, credit memos, and billing, among other things
  • Manage sales and telecom tax-related activities and ensure tax compliance
  • Work with the Financial Reporting Manager to provide technical memos for billing and ASC 606 revenue recognition for complex customer contracts
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external consultants to implement a third party billing solution and continuously improve process and automation
  • Liaise with external auditors, including performing walkthroughs, responding to audit requests related to revenue
  • Complete other duties and projects as assigned by the Financial Controller

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information system or equivalent;
  • 4-6+ years of relevant revenue operations experience for a SaaS technology company;
  • Public Accounting experience and CPA required
  • Experience with ASC 606 adoption and account reconciliations and close procedures for revenue schedules, contract assets, deferred revenue and accounts receivable related activities
  • Experience with ERP Systems and billing applications ( Sage Intacct, Zuora, Salesforce);
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel
