WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Working as part of a collaborative public company Revenue Accounting team, the Revenue Accountant will be responsible for specific revenue related processes within the organization, including day to day revenue recognition and accounting functions, performing monthly close processes and maintaining an effective control environment. The Revenue Accountant will report to the Revenue Manager.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Actively participate in monthly and quarterly close activities including preparing analyses on several accounting estimates used in our revenue recognition processes and other ancillary fees detail for billing, etc.
• Review customer arrangements to evaluate accounting implications and summarize key terms/issues in the Company’s contract database
• Set up and maintain customers in the TTD platform and financial systems so that sales are processed accurately including customer master record and rate cards in accordance with the customer contract
• Review credit memos for accounting implications
• Create detailed schedules as needed for management, finance and reporting purposes
• Collaborate with multi-national, cross-functional teams including finance, legal, engineering, sales, and various business owners world-wide
• Work with Revenue Manager and Director, Revenue in the design and implementation of process improvements to further streamline revenue policies and controls in the Order to Cash Process
• Assist with external and internal auditor request and inquiries
• Assist with monthly SOX controls and SEC reporting processes, as needed
• Perform/lead other duties and ad-hoc projects (e.g. automation improvements and system implementations) in the Order to Cash Process, as needed to support the business

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent experience
• 1-2+ years of experience working in accounting required preferably with experience in revenue accounting, preferred
• Exposure to Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), internal controls and SEC reporting
• Intermediate or above level of proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially MS Excel) required
• Highly motivated with the ability to multitask, work independently, and meet deadlines while maintaining a high standard of accuracy
• Ability to effectively prioritize problems and manage multiple requests/expectations in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and process oriented
• Outstanding communication skills – including written and verbal communications, interpersonal, analytical, negotiating and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work with multiple databases and understand their relationships
• Familiarity with revenue accounting/financial reporting systems including Oracle Cloud & Jira exposure
