REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

This role will report into Director, Enterprise Systems (ERP & HCM)

 

Overview

At LegalZoom, we simply do not believe that it should cost thousands of dollars to create a will, form a business, or apply for a trademark. So we started a movement to make legal help available to all.

We’re looking for an ERP Architect who has extensive experience leading the planning, design, development, testing and deployment phases for ERP solutions. This individual will work closely with cross-functional leaders in the finance and operations teams to fulfill the strategic, financial and operational needs of our ERP systems. We’re looking for someone that is a self-starter and comes prepared to help align LegalZoom’s financial systems and solutions with our long-term financial strategies.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Use your financial services experience and expertise to help lead our external consulting partners with configuring and supporting ERP modules
  • Lead the technical architecture design and migration to Oracle ERP Cloud
  • Deliver integration solutions using your strong understanding of integration architectures and best practices, with excellent relationship skills working with business leaders, stakeholders, infrastructure teams and development teams across the organization
  • Develop functional design specifications for our data migration strategies
  • Implement and help deliver quality assurance over our data integration services using API’s, XML, OIC and other integration technologies
  • Play a lead role in developing, reviewing and approving functional design documents for our Oracle ERP Cloud migration
  • Help to lead the change management process for our ERP systems, by documenting, coordinating and participating in change management meetings
  • Driving relationships with software vendors that will help to identify new opportunities and capabilities that we can build on
  • Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and systems technical components, to make sure processes are running smoothly and where possible, makes recommendations for improvement
  • Help to document and implement test cases, test scripts and acceptance test plans
  • Work across different areas of the business to understand challenges, solicit feedback, and help to understand and embrace best in class ERP standards and procedures
  • Document current as-is business processes and help to define and map to new to-be business processes
  • Help to avoid system issues by monitoring, reporting and developing solutions when need to troubleshoot and work around roadblocks and issues
  • Excellent communication skills that help to evangelize and promote our financial systems capabilities, processes and procedures
  • Proactively collaborate with peers, team members, and business stakeholders across locations
  • Ensure that strategies and software tools are in regulatory and security compliance
  • Conduct Proof of Concepts for new tools and components to validate feasibility and value
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing financial systems and processes in order to develop strategies for improving and further leveraging these systems
  • Able to work independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project managers

 

Skills and Experience

  • 7+ years of Financial Systems Experience
  • 5+ years as an ERP Architect or similar role
  • BA or BS degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent experience
  • Must be a responsive, flexible team player that is an entrepreneur and self-starter
  • Experience with ERP software such as JDE or Oracle ERP Cloud
  • Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud a plus
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal skills and experience in presenting to business and technical team including executive management, in an effective and persuasive manner
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proven track record of meeting commitments while working on multiple projects at once

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work is primarily performed in a typical business office environment setting using standard office equipment. Occasional travel may be required.
